Todd Monken is a hot name in the NFL ranks this offseason after leading Georgia’s offense to a second-straight national title as the Bulldogs’ offensive coordinator.

Now multiple NFL squads are interested in bringing Monken in as their offensive coordinator, and one familiar team completed an interview with him on Tuesday.

As you can see below, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers took to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon to reveal they had interviewed Monken for their open coordinator job:

Monken has spent time with the Buccaneers before, and per the release from the team, he’s not the only candidate for the job this offseason:

Monken previously served as the Buccaneers’ offensive coordinator on Dirk Koetter’s staff from 2016-18. He then spent one season (2019) in the same post with the Cleveland Browns before assuming his current position on Kirby Smart’s staff at Georgia. Monken is the fifth candidate the Buccaneers have interviewed to replace the departed Byron Leftwich, following Denver Broncos Passing Game Coordinator & Quarterbacks Coach Klint Kubiak, Minnesota Vikings Wide Receivers Coach Keenan McCardell, Jacksonville Jaguars Quarterbacks Coach Jim Bob Cooter and Cincinnati Bengals Quarterbacks Coach Dan Pitcher.

Alabama recently lost its offensive coordinator, Bill O’Brien, to the NFL. Could Georgia soon have an offensive coordinator vacancy of its own to fill?
