Nick Bolton made perhaps the most important play of Super Bowl LVII.

With the Eagles facing a 3rd and 6 early in the 2nd quarter, quarterback Jalen Hurts lost control of the ball. Bolton picked it up and returned it for an easy 6 points for Kansas City.

The play tied the game at 14-14 in the 2nd quarter. Bolton also provided the pressure on Hurts as he tried to escape the pocket.

Here’s a replay of Bolton’s touchdown:

Bolton is in his 2nd season out of Mizzou. He’s become a key player in Kansas City’s defense, starting all 17 games for the AFC Champions this season.

This was Bolton’s 2nd fumble recovery of the postseason. He also picked up a fumble in the Chiefs’ win over the Jaguars in the divisional round. It was also the 2nd touchdown of his career, with his 1st coming during his rookie campaign.

Bolton 2nd round pick by the Chiefs in the 2021 NFL Draft.
