After he was injured in Week 1 against Florida State, Alabama LB Rashaan Evans has been working his way back in recent weeks.

Last week, he had his best game of the year, recording six tackles (3.5 for a loss) and two sacks in a win over Arkansas.

During his Wednesday press conference, Alabama coach Nick Saban said he’s been very impressed with the way the senior linebacker has battled his way through the pain this year, saying he doesn’t think Evans is back to 100 percent yet:

Evans has recorded 20 tackles (4.0 for a loss) and two sacks, to go with one pass defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

As Alabama takes on Tennessee this weekend, Evans will be an important part of stopping talented Vols RB John Kelly.

Check out this weekend’s game at 2:30 p.m. Central time on CBS.
