Coaching website predicts Nick Saban will leave Alabama after this season

In a recent article predicting the biggest coaching surprises of 2015, Scott Roussel predicts that Nick Saban won’t be coaching at Alabama in 2016. Roussel obviously has connections throughout the coaching industry, and perhaps this isn’t just wild speculation.
“I can’t support it by reportable facts, and of course there is no pressure from the administration; but from folks in the profession, I keep hearing “Nick isn’t happy,” “Nick seems miserable,” “Nick is very frustrated,” and I can foresee the very real possibility that Nick pulls the rip cord and ejects from Tuscaloosa after this season. Where that parachute will land, well, that has to play out, but I don’t suspect T-Town will be Nick’s final coaching stop.”
That’s a hell of a bold prediction, huh?
2015 is Saban’s ninth year at Alabama. He’s won three national championships, three SEC championships and five SEC West crowns with the Crimson Tide.
It’s been widely reported that Texas came hard after Saban, and the Longhorns certainly gave him something to think about.
Saban’s contract, made official in June 2014, was extended from 2020 to January 31, 2022. Saban will be paid $6.5 million per year with a $400,000 completion bonus.
