Nick Saban’s daughter responds to speculation about her father’s coaching future
Nick Saban’s daughter, Kristen, said in a social media message on Thursday that her father is not coming back to coaching.
“Apparently some of y’all feel trolled by my last story of Nick’s walkout … He’s not coming back to coaching,” she wrote on her Instagram story after previously posting an old video of Nick walking onto the field at Alabama. “Hate to break it to you … you had your time.”

Speculation over Saban’s potential return to the sidelines rose this week following comments made by former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy.
This statement from Saban’s daughter does help clear the air regarding his future — Saban himself has yet to comment since this story became a national talking point on Monday.
As Georgia head coach Kirby Smart noted earlier this week, family was always likely to have a big influence on whether or not the 7-time National Champion decided to return to coaching.
Saban has nothing left to prove at the collegiate level. He won 7 National Championships — 6 with Alabama and 1 with LSU — during his coaching career. He’s now transitioned into becoming a prominent voice in college football media as he’s a permanent cast member of ESPN’s College GameDay. He’s expected to continue in that role this fall.
