No. 1 prospect out of North Carolina, 5-star CB, reveals SEC-filled top 5

Joshua Dobson, one of the top cornerback prospects in the Class of 2027, has revealed a top 5 that includes four SEC programs. The standout CB from Cornelius, North Carolina will choose between South Carolina, LSU, Texas A&M, Auburn and Michigan.
Dobson, who stands at 6-foot-1, 185 pounds and hails from Hough high school, revealed his top 5 on Tuesday, via Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett. Being a 5-star prospect, he had his pick from just about any power program in the country.
Dobson has an official visit planned to each of the 4 SEC programs listed above, with his next OV coming at Auburn on May 29. He’s also scheduled to visit Texas A&M on June 5, LSU on June 12 and South Carolina on June 19.
Theses programs will no doubt roll out the red carpet for Dobson, who is one of the highest-rated prospects in the 2027 cycle. According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Dobson is the No. 11 overall prospect in the country, as well as the No. 3 overall cornerback and No. 1 overall prospect out of the state of North Carolina.
