Now that Penny Hardaway is the new head coach at Memphis, he’s setting his sights high. Recently, he’s announced a renewed rivalry with Tennessee and has also said he’d like to play Kentucky.
On Wednesday, he joined “Sports Talk with Bo Mattingly” to declare his intentions to play yet another SEC squad.
As you can see in the tweet below, Hardaway would like to see the Tigers take on the Arkansas Razorbacks in the near future:
Hardaway: "I want to play all the teams we used to play back in the day, and get those rivalries going again. I would love to play Arkansas."

That makes three SEC teams Hardaway would like to play, so it’ll be interesting to see if those deals get done.
Regardless, Hardaway is making some noise at Memphis and there seems to be a buzz around the program after a couple of down years under Tubby Smith.
