It took more than 37 minutes, but Notre Dame-Texas A&M finally produced a touchdown in the 3rd quarter on Saturday night.

With the score tied at 6-6, Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price broke a run to the outside and won a foot race to the end zone to give the Irish their 1st lead of the night.

Price’s scamper went for 47 yards. Here’s a replay:

Notre Dame’s offensive line issues were highly-publicized going into this matchup, but the Fighting Irish have been able to run the ball fairly consistently all things considered — particularly to the left side. That run boosted Notre Dame’s yards-per-carry average to 6 on the night.

Prior to that run, Jeremiyah Love had been Notre Dame’s most effective running back vs. the Aggies with 46 yards on 8 carries. Quarterback Riley Leonard has also been efficient in the run game against Texas A&M’s vaunted front 7.

Notre Dame closed as a 3-point underdog against the Aggies. Texas A&M’s offense has struggled to create scoring opportunities against the Irish all night.

Notre Dame is looking for its 8th ranked win of the Marcus Freeman era.
