The Ohio State University announced that student-athletes and coaches will not be available for interviews until further notice.
“The university is committed to supporting our student-athletes as they prepare for the upcoming semester,” an OSU spokesperson said in a statement. “Due to the ongoing investigation, football coaches and student-athletes will not be available for interviews until further notice and all practices will be closed. We anticipate providing an update on availability Monday.”
The Buckeyes are scheduled to open fall camp Friday.
Meyer was placed on administrative leave Wednesday as the university is investigating what he knew about domestic abuse allegations against former WR coach Zach Smith in 2015.
Ryan Day is the acting head coach for the Buckeyes, and he met with AD Gene Smith this afternoon, according to ESPN’s Dan Murphy.
Ohio State interim head coach Ryan Day met with athletic director Gene Smith late this afternoon to discuss the plan moving forward. Buckeye players are on campus tonight for a regular pre-training camp dinner.
