Oklahoma just added a big-time prospect to its 2026 recruiting class.

The Sooners have earned a commitment from 4-star linebacker Jacob Curry. He chose Oklahoma over offers from programs such as Ohio State, Florida State and plenty more.

Curry is from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. He shared the news of his commitment with Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett on Friday afternoon.

“Oklahoma felt like home the second I stepped on campus,” Curry told Fawcett.

Curry is a big-time pickup for Oklahoma. He’s the No. 411 overall player in the country for the class of 2026, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also regarded as the No. 58 player from the state of Florida.

Curry attends Nease High School in Florida. He’s listed at 6-foot-1, 208 pounds. Curry took an official visit to Norman back in September for the Auburn game. The Sooners beat Auburn that afternoon, 24-17.

Oklahoma now has 21 commitments in the class of 2026. The Sooners currently have a top-25 high school recruiting class, per 247Sports Composite rankings. The Early Signing Period is set for December.
