Oklahoma significantly beefed up its wide receivers room for the 2026 season, and the Sooners’ gain came at the expense of their most bitter rival.

Redshirt freshman transfer Parker Livingstone is heading from Texas to Norman for the 2026 season, On3 revealed on Tuesday afternoon. Not only is Livingstone one of the most coveted receivers in the portal, he’ll arrive at Oklahoma with three years of eligibility still left.

Livingstone’s move from one side of the OU-Texas rivalry to the other also stings the Longhorns because he’s a Texas native, hailing from Lucas. Oklahoma is adding a strong weapon from the Lone Star State for next fall, with Livingstone catching 29 passes for 516 yards in 2025.

The 6-foot-4, 191-pounder also showed a strong nose for the end zone this past fall, catching 6 touchdowns, something the Sooners hope translates in 2026.

Livingstone announced that he was bolting from Austin on New Year’s Day, one day before the transfer portal officially opened on Friday.

He showed an ability to thrive in the SEC this past season while catching passes from Arch Manning. Livingstone redshirted during his true freshman season in 2024, appearing in four games.

Then he got going in 2025, and now Oklahoma has its hands on the Texas product and now former Texas Longhorn for the 2026 season. Livingstone was actually Manning’s roommate at Texas, which will seem like ancient history next fall when he lines up against the Longhorns in the Red River Rivalry.
