Oklahoma State fans cope with another brutal loss by going shirtless en masse
Oklahoma State football isn’t in the midst of anything you would want to remember.
In fact, the 2025 season has been one to forget. After a season-opening victory, Oklahoma State has lost 5 in a row, including Saturday’s 39-17 embarrassment of a loss at home to Houston. It was the Cowboys’ 5th straight defeat, and things haven’t gotten any better since Mike Gundy was fired as head coach on Sept. 23.
But wait a minute, folks. Amid the nightmare of this fall, Oklahoma State football went viral for something pretty cool during Saturday’s beatdown. It had nothing to do with the actual team, unfortunately. Instead, it was all about the Cowboys fans, who have clearly put all the losing aside while they just try to have some fun on a college football Saturday during their college years.
It started with 4 shirtless guys, and then the whole thing got out of control, in a very good, organized way. Soon, other shirtless guys joined in the fun with those original 4, but that wasn’t all either.
Before long, the whole section was mostly filled with the shirtless wonders, and then it got altogether crazy, as just about 3 full sections were filled with the shirtless bunch.
It was as methodical, steady development by the OSU faithful, which is more than you could say for the home team playing down on the field.
The pictures were cool, but the video shows just how passionate these fans were in the moment:
These fans might not want to remember anything the Cowboys did this season, at least with half the season done and that 1-5 record. But those involved in Saturday’s spectacle in that stadium in Stillwater won’t soon forget what took place and the memories they created themselves.
