Ole Miss football has landed another big name on the 2026 recruiting trail, flipping Ocean Springs (Miss) St. Martin 3-star defensive lineman Jayden Curtis from UCF.
A 6-foot-3, 255-pound mauler in the middle, had been committed to the Knights since July but couldn’t turn down the chance to stay close to home. He earned an offer from the Rebels after showing out at their OL/DL camp in June and kept building momentum with the staff throughout the summer.
Ranked among the top DL in Mississippi for the 2026 class, Curtis also comes with ties to the program.
His father, Dwayne, played basketball at Ole Miss in the mid-2000s. For the younger Curtis, family and proximity made a difference.
It’s close to home” Curtis said, per Billy Embody of On3. “Five minutes away from my grandma’s house, it’s nice. It definitely makes a big impact.
The flip continues a strong stretch for Lane Kiffin‘s staff, which also picked up four-star offensive tackle Emanuel Tucker last week after he backed off his pledge to LSU. With both prospects now on board, Ole Miss is gaining momentum early in the 2025 season, and they’re doing it by retaining some of their best homegrown talent.
