The Ole Miss Rebels are gearing up for their first College Football Playoff appearance in program history, as they are set to host the Tulane Green Wave in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium for a first-round matchup on Saturday.

This will be the second time these 2 programs have met on the gridiron this season, with the Rebels throttling the Green Wave at home back on September 20th by a final score of 45-10.

In anticipation of the high-stakes rematch in the Grove, Ole Miss recently announced which players will be leading the team on the field as team captains via the team’s official X account.

Junior offensive lineman Patrick Kutas, senior wideout De’Zhaun Stribling, senior safety Wydett Williams Jr., and senior linebacker Tyler Banks all received the honor of serving as team captains in the Rebels’ CFP debut.

Kutas has been the linchpin for Ole Miss up front on offense, locking down the right guard position all season long. Stribling has likewise been crucial to the Rebels’ passing game, racking up 533 yards and 5 touchdowns during the regular season.

Williams Jr. has been the leader in the Rebels’ secondary in 2025 with 55 total tackles and a team-leading 3 interceptions, while Banks has served as a veteran presence in a very deep Ole Miss linebacker room.

Each of these guys has played a key role in the Rebels’ success so far this season, and newly minted head coach Pete Golding will be relying on them to continue producing against the Green Wave.
