Ole Miss beats Georgia, Michigan for No. 2 prospect out of Connecticut

Four-star defensive end Marvin Nguetsop has committed to Pete Golding and the Ole Miss Rebels.
Nguetsop hails from St. Thomas More HS in Oakdale, Connecticut. The 6-foot-7, 265-pound defensive lineman has quite the offer list, too. He chose Ole Miss over the likes of Georgia, Michigan and Penn State while also holding offers from Texas, Ohio State, Tennessee and Florida.
“Let’s get to work,” Nguetsop told Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett.

Nguetsop is the 11th addition to Ole Miss’s 2027 class and the 3rd highest-rated prospect to commit thus far, behind only 4-star defensive lineman Ben’Jarvius Shumaker and 4-star cornerback Taelyn Mayo. He’s also the 3rd addition along the defensive line, joining Shumaker and 4-star DL Jamakrus Pittman.
According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Nguetsop is considered to be the No. 386 overall prospect in the Class of 2027, as well as the No. 43 defensive lineman and No. 2 player out of Connecticut.
Ole Miss currently has the No. 24 ranked 2027 class according to 247Sports.
