Ole Miss lands commitment from 4-star in-state DL

Antavion Allen is staying home.
Ole Miss has landed a commitment from one of the top in-state prospects for the 2028 recruiting class. The blue-chip defensive lineman committed to play for Pete Golding‘s program on Tuesday, announcing the big news on social media.

Out of Hattiesburg (Mississippi) High School, Allen is listed as measuring 6-4 and 289 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Allen is rated 4-stars, the No. 2 player in the state of Mississippi, No. 9 defensive lineman and No. 90 prospect overall in the Class of 2028.
Allen collected 21 scholarship offers in his recruitment. He committed to Ole Miss over offers from Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, USC and others.
Ole Miss has two early pledges for 2028 now with Allen on board. He joins in-state wide receiver Latedrick Mallard, who committed in June.
