Ole Miss will start the season off on Sunday night when the Rebels take on Louisville in the Liberty Mutual Music City Kickoff in Nashville. The matchup is the only game in Week 1 featuring two Top 25 teams.
With the game being in SEC Country, Ole Miss will be the home team. On Friday night, the Rebels posted on social media which jerseys they will be wearing on Sunday night.
The Rebels enter the season with high expectations, as Pete Golding is officially the guy in Oxford. He took over during the College Football Playoff after Lane Kiffin left for LSU, and he helped lead the team to the semifinals before losing to Miami.
Back is Trinidad Chambliss, who is as good a quarterback as there is in college football. After Austin Simmons suffered an injury last year, Chambliss took over the starting job and never looked back. He is joined by his backfield mate from last year, Kewan Lacy, who put together an incredible season with 1,567 yards and 24 touchdowns. These two form the best backfield in all of college football and are a huge reason why the Rebels are looked at as a legitimate contender.
Kickoff between the Rebels and Cardinals is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET with the game on ABC.
