Auburn hung around until midway through the 3rd quarter, but in the end, Ole Miss earned a very convincing victory over the Tigers to move to 6-2 on the season.

The Rebels led just 14-9 at the break and Auburn was within a 2-point conversion of tying the game at one point in the second half. That would be as close as the Tigers could get, however.

After Byrum Brown’s touchdown run made it a 17-15 game, the Rebels scored 3 touchdowns over the next 8 minutes of game time to secure the win. Ole Miss then tacked on another score with 3:27 remaining to make it 45-15.

Trinidad Chambliss had another strong game. He passed for 263 yards and 2 touchdowns while also throwing 1 interception. He added 65 yards and another touchdown on the ground.

With Kewan Lacy out due to injury, Ole Miss turned to Shekai Mills-Knight and Makhi Frazier out of the backfield. Mills-Knight rushed for 71 yards and 1 touchdown while Frazier added 56 rushing yards.

With this win, Ole Miss remains in the hunt for a College Football Playoff berth. The loss drops Auburn to 4-4 on the season, but the Tigers are still a candidate to get to bowl eligibility.
