Ole Miss Twitter account hilariously trolls Kentucky after Week 5 victory

It’s almost basketball season.

Ole Miss’ twitter account made sure to remind Kentucky football of that Saturday after downing the No. 7 Wildcats, 22-19. Ole Miss improved to 5-0 following the win while Kentucky falls to 4-1.

Wildcat fans have had better days.

Ole Miss isn’t used to beating the Wildcats on the basketball court, but then again neither is anybody else. Kentucky’s dominance in basketball has developed a rabid fanbase, but those fans would’ve liked to see the football season match that success for once.

Ole Miss is looking great 5 games into the season. An undefeated record and win against a top 10 team is perfect for a team looking for legitimacy. The Rebels turn their focus to Vanderbilt ahead of a rough October/ November stretch against Texas A&M, Arkansas and Alabama in 3 straight weeks.

The season is far from over for the Wildcats, though. Kentucky played well, but has obvious places to work on heading into its next game against South Carolina.

And, as the Rebels reminded them, basketball season is just around the corner.
