Oops: Alabama radio station airs commercial promoting sale of Crimson Tide title gear

Heading into Monday night’s College Football Playoff title game, Alabama was a 5.5-point favorite to take down Clemson.

That, obviously, did not happen, as the Crimson Tide were dealt a lopsided 44-16 loss at the hands of the Tigers, who dominated the game from the start.

However, an Alabama sporting goods store assumed the Tide would win, so an ad that aired shortly after the game didn’t go over so well:

Again, that was obviously a pre-recorded ad, but it’s still funny. However, something tells us people in Birmingham weren’t exactly in the laughing mood after Monday’s game.

Alabama will be a favorite to make it to the title game again next year, though, so perhaps they can save the advertisement for this time next season.
