Lane Kiffin’s name has been thrown around at several top job vacancies this fall; however, none of that came to fruition, as the Rebels held on to Kiffin. They even signed him to a huge new contract. There are over $7 million reasons Kiffin elected to remain in Oxford.
Once Cristobal left for Miami, some folks were floating Kiffin’s name for the job; however, John Canzano of the Oregonian is reporting that Kiffin isn’t in the mix for the Ducks vacancy.

Canzano’s report came after some rumblings of Phil Knight being interested in Kiffin.

Remember, Kiffin bolted from the University of Tennessee for the USC Trojans job back in 2010. Kiffin’s familiarity of the Pac-12 would have been potentially attractive for Oregon.
