Pac-12 After Dark vibes: Big Ten team hilariously botches fake FG

For many years in college football, ‘Pac 12 After Dark’ had become a weekly phenomenon. Late into Saturday night, and even Sunday mornings on the east coast, college football fans were provided with the ultimate drama at all times of night.

With the Pac-12, that is no longer a thing as teams from the conference left for the Big 12 and the B1G a couple of years ago. Washington and UCLA both went to the B1G, and the former Pac 12 rivals were facing each other on Saturday night.

As the Bruins looked to kick a field goal in the game, a botched fake field goal provided fans a play reminiscent of one of those moments.

With the Bruins trailing 13-0, they ran a fake where they were pitching it to the kicker. However, it wasn’t a good pitch, and Washington star Alex McLaughlin took it 59 yards the other way to help the team run away with the 48-14 victory.

These two teams played many times during the Pac-10 and Pac-12 era, and that rivalry has continued in a new conference. While we will never get a ‘Pac-12 After Dark’ moment again, there will always be some wild late-night college football memories.
