The first round of the College Football Playoff has finally arrived, and that means that the final on-campus matchups of the entire season are on deck for what’s sure to be an action-packed weekend of playoff football.
College GameDay will be traveling down to College Station on Saturday for their final on-campus program of 2025, and that means it will also be the last time this year that a lucky student has a chance to attempt a field goal with GameDay analyst Pat McAfee’s money on the line.
In anticipation of the final McAfee Kicking Contest of 2025, the former Indianapolis Colts’ star announced on Friday that the contest will be taking place live in front of 110,000 fans in Kyle Field for a record-breaking $1,000,000.
“The field goal kicking contest has been very expensive and awesome to experience all year,” McAfee said. “We’ve gotten the chance to donate and learn a lot about charities all around the country. We’ve gotten to fill the pockets of college kids all across the country, and tomorrow, the final field goal kicking contest will end this particular season in the biggest way. It will be live on Kyle Field in front of 110,000 people for $1,000,000.”
Not only will it be the most money that has ever been up for grabs during McAfee’s kicking contest, but it will also be the first time ever that the kick has been attempted on an actual college field in front of a packed-out stadium.
Whichever lucky Aggie gets chosen for the challenge will not only have a shot at making some life-changing money, but they will also have a shot at making College GameDay history as well.
