Paul Finebaum says Alabama ‘needed to be in’ Playoff, blasts ‘fake outrage’ over decision

Paul Finebaum is tired of everyone’s “fake outrage” over the final College Football Playoff Rankings.
Finebaum ranted about the reaction to the rankings on McElroy and Cube in the Morning on Monday.
Michigan, Washington, Texas, and Alabama will all be competing in the Playoff. Many people were not happy that Florida State was left out despite finishing with an undefeated record.
Finebaum thinks that the committee got things right by letting the Crimson Tide in. He’s heard enough of everyone complaining about the decision.
“I felt like they got it right. I felt that Alabama, with a win, needed to be in because of what they did on Saturday,” said Finebaum. “As the day went on, I became more and more dismayed with the fake outrage from Florida State and elsewhere in the world.”
The notion that college football is dead was laughable to Finebaum. He believes that there are worse problems in college football than the 4-team playoff.
“I’ve heard people jumping into this dogpile, acting like college football is dead and this is a travesty,” said Finebaum. “None of those things are true. They are far bigger problems in college football than the 4-team playoff.”
