As we reported earlier, Qatar-based news network Al Jazeera accused Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning of using human growth hormone (HGH), which is prohibited in the NFL since it is considered a performance-enhancing drug.

Manning told ESPN reporter Peter King he was so angry he would probably sue Al Jazeera for defamation.

His response to the accusations revealed his anger.

โ€œItโ€™s completely fabricated,โ€ Manning said. โ€œComplete trash, garbage. Thereโ€™s some more adjectives Iโ€™d like to be able to use, but it really makes me sick.โ€

Al Jazeeraย alleged that Manning’s wife received the HGH for him so his name would not be on the receipt.

Since Manning is a public figure,ย it would be nearly impossible for him to win a defamation case. But his wife is not a public figure, and because she was brought into this by Al Jazeera, Manning’s plan may be to file the suit on her behalf.
