It’s official, former Alabama tight end O.J. Howard will wear No. 80 in Tampa Bay.
The Bucs selected the Tide’s multidimensional weapon with the 19th pick in the first round last Thursday, and he’s already been given a new set of duds. Though the shade of red is a bit similar to the familiar crimson hue, those alarm clock style numbers may not be as stylish as Alabama’s classic look.

Howard’s college No. 88 is already worn by former Tennessee TE and seven-year NFL veteran Luke Stocker in Tampa, but the No. 80 is close enough for the incoming rookie. In some cases, players have been known to buy jersey numbers off of their teammates, but it seems that the low-key Howard is more than content to accept the change.
