Georgia has upset the apple cart in SEC West country by plucking a coveted cornerback from South Louisiana who was previously committed to Ole Miss.
Daran Branch of Amite, Louisiana, announced he would play at Georgia over Ole Miss and Miami. This decision came after he received offers in late December from Tennessee and Georgia. He committed to Ole Miss in November.
Branch is a 6-foot-2 and 178-pound 3-star prospect and listed as the No. 28 player in Louisiana in this class, according to 247Sports Composite, and the No. 51 player in America.
Branch joins an impressive class at Georgia, which is ranked No. 1 in the country, as 17 players have signed national letters of intent, and 6 have enrolled early. The Bulldogs have 2 other cornerbacks in this class.
