Power rankings for the SEC’s top receivers after Week 10

After No. 1-ranked wide receiver Laquon Treadwell of Ole Miss, coming up with catchers two through 10 has turned out to be quite a crapshoot.
Around the conference, some teams have changed quarterbacks (Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, South Carolina, Texas A&M), some teams have hot-and-cold quarterbacks (Georgia, Kentucky, Texas A&M) and some teams prefer to keep it on the ground (Alabama, LSU, Vanderbilt).
Plenty of wide receivers have shown flashes of playmaking capability, but in the end it’s the pass catchers hauling in balls from the most consistent quarterbacks that rise to the top spots by the end of November.
The top receiver in the conference will have this week off, but don’t expect anyone to wrestle the top spot away.
10. Ricardo Louis, Auburn
The skinny: The Tigers switched back to QB Jeremy Johnson Saturday, and instead of hauling in passes from QB Sean White, Louis was running the ball (6 rushes, 43 yards). It will be interesting to see how Louis is used with the change at quarterback (again).

2015 season: 36 catches, 563 yards, 2 TD
9. Garrett Johnson, Kentucky
The skinny: The Wildcats are in a four-game losing skid and the offense is hurting. UK QB Patrick Towles was only 8-for-21 passing for 96 yards with two interceptions in a 27-3 loss to Georgia.
Last game: 3 catches, 49 yards
2015 season: 38 catches, 611 yards, 2 TD
8. Fred Ross, Mississippi State
The skinny: The Bulldogs are riding a four-game winning streak into a pivotal three-game stretch in the SEC West. Ross had a big night in MSU’s recent 31-13 win at Missouri.
Last game: 11 catches, 115 yards, TD
2015 season: 51 catches, 548 yards, 2 TD
7. Malcolm Mitchell, Georgia
The skinny: UGA has switched starting quarterbacks the past two games, but Mitchell remains the leading Georgia pass catcher and a top-10 SEC receiver.
Last game: 4 catches, 52 yards
2015 season: 43 catches, 617 yards, 4 TD
6. Calvin Ridley, Alabama
The skinny: In early October, Alabama’s top freshman wideout looked ready to join the discussion of the SEC’s very best pass catchers. One month later, he’s fallen back to earth, but he still belongs solidly in the top-10.
Last game: 7 catches, 51 yards
2015 season: 52 catches, 576 yards, 3 TD
5.Pharoh Cooper, South Carolina
The skinny: For the first half of the Gamecocks’ season, the offense’s production was completely dependent on Cooper’s touches. In back-to-back weeks, Cooper’s box scores have experienced a noticeable drop-off.
Last game: 4 catches, 47 yards, TD
2015 season: 48 catches, 656 yards, 5 TD
4. Christian Kirk, Texas A&M
The skinny: The freshman standout was a big part of TAMU’s 6-0 start, but inconsistent quarterback play has been the primary issue causing the Aggies to lose three of four games. Without a steady passing game, Kirk’s impact has taken a hit.
Last game: 7 catches, 44 yards
2015 season: 54 catches, 706 yards, 4 TD
3. De’Runnya Wilson, Mississippi State
The skinny: Over the past two games, MSU QB Dak Prescott is 52 of 75 for 651 yards and seven touchdowns, which means big numbers for Bulldogs receivers. Mississippi State’s robust passing game was on display against Missouri, and Wilson snagged his first 100-yard game of the season.
Last game: 4 catches, 102 yards, 2 TD
2015 season: 37 catches, 626 yards, 8 TD
2. Drew Morgan, Arkansas
The skinny: When Morgan can keep his shoulder from bothering him, he’s flashed big-game capability. The Razorbacks have struggled with offensive identity issues, but QB Brandon Allen is one of the SEC’s top passers and Morgan is the conference’s touchdown reception leader.
Last game: 9 catches, 122 yards, 3 TD
2015 season: 44 catches, 620 yards, 9 TD
1. Laquon Treadwell, Ole Miss
The skinny: Treadwell has the advantage of an extra game on every other receiver on the list, but even so, don’t expect anyone to catch him as the conference’s only receiver who has passed the 1,000-yard mark this season. Even in a loss, the Rebels go-to playmaker still logged his fifth straight 100-yard game.
Last game: 7 catches, 132 yards, TD
2015 season: 68 catches, 1002 yards, 7 TD
