Former Mississippi State Bulldog Preston Smith has had a pretty good week by any standards.
Last Friday, the Washington Redskins selected Smith in the second round of the NFL draft, fulfilling a dream for the defensive end. This weekend, he checked off another life goal when he received his diploma from Mississippi State for his degree in interdisciplinary studies.
Smith walked across the stage in style. Not only did he rock his Bulldogs jersey underneath his gown, but he added some flair to his cap, adorning it with the Redskins logo.
We’re guessing Smith held onto his cap instead of tossing it in the air at the end of commencement.
