Pro Football Focus has released its latest 2022 NFL Mock Draft.
At this point in the offseason, many analysts have between 11-13 SEC players going in Round 1, but PFF’s Michael Renner sees things going a little bit differently.
As you can see below, he has only 10 SEC stars going in the first 32 picks, and doesn’t have Alabama’s Evan Neal in his No. 1 spot:
- No. 3 — Evan Neal, OL, Alabama — Houston Texans
- No. 6 — Charles Cross, OL, Mississippi State — Carolina Panthers
- No. 8 — Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU — Atlanta Falcons
- No. 13 — Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama — Cleveland Browns
- No. 15 — Matt Corral, QB, Ole Miss — Seattle Seahawks
- No. 17 — Jordan Davis, DL, Georgia — Los Angeles Chargers
- No. 22 — Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia — Las Vegas Raiders
- No. 28 — Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas — Green Bay Packers
- No. 30 — Travon Walker, Edge, Georgia — Kansas City Chiefs
- No. 31 — Kenyon Green, OL, Texas A&M — Cincinnati Bengals
The NFL Draft is notoriously hard to predict, what with all the trades and different teams valuing prospects and needs differently.
We’ll see if Renner’s projections end up being more accurate than the rest, but SEC standouts will have plenty of chances to improve their stock at the NFL Combine and upcoming Pro Days. It’s going to be an exciting few weeks of draft prep.
