Purdue names interim head coach for Citrus Bowl game against LSU

Jeff Brohm has left Purdue for Louisville, but LSU will still faced a Brohm-coached Boilermaker squad.
Purdue athletic director Mike Bobinski named Boilermakers offensive coordinator Brian Brohm, Jeff’s brother, as the team’s interim head coach for the Citrus Bowl game against LSU.
Bobinski expects Brian Brohm will move on to Louisville after the bowl game but is open to having him stay on as offensive coordinator with the Boilermakers’ next head coach.

Brian Kelly’s LSU squad heads to Orlando with a 9-4 mark following the SEC Championship Game loss to Georgia. Purdue is 8-5 in 2022 after dropping the Big Ten Championship Game to Michigan. The Jan. 2 Citrus Bowl will be the first meeting between the Tigers and Boilermakers.
