Former Ole Miss and Ohio State running back Quinshon Judkins was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery (domestic) in Florida on Saturday morning.

News of his arrest first broke on Saturday evening, but so far few details have been shared regarding the incident. There’s still more information to come, but a media relations rep with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department shared a statement with ESPN on Sunday:

On July 12th, at approximately 9 a.m., Fort Lauderdale Police Officers responded to the 1500 block of West Cypress Creek Road in reference to a delayed battery.  Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the victim.  During their preliminary investigation it was determined a battery had occurred.  The officers made contact with the suspect and placed him into custody.  He was transported to Broward County Main Jail.

Judkins was picked by the Cleveland Browns with the No. 36 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He’s set to begin his rookie season with the franchise later this fall with training camp slated to start later this month. Browns rookies are due to report for training camp on July 18.

Judkins has yet to sign his rookie contract with Cleveland as he was negotiating for more guaranteed money. It’s unclear at this time how this arrest will impact those negotiations or his future in the NFL.
