Mizzou had what was supposed to be an easy game against New Mexico State on Saturday night in Columbia.

And that’s exactly what it was. In refreshing fashion, the Tigers took care of business against an inferior opponent, cruising to a lopsided 45-14 victory over the Aggies.

The Tigers got on the board in the first quarter thanks to this impressive hurdle from star freshman WR Luther Burden:

Later in the first half, Ryan Hoerstkamp scored on a 32-yard pass from QB Brady Cook:

Cook finished the game 251 passing yards, 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. He also ran for 71 yards.

Cody Schrader led all running backs with 18 carries for 70 yards and 2 scores. Barrett Banister had 7 catches for 91 yards to punctuate his senior day. Burden finished with 3 catches for 35 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Daylan Carnell made a big play in the second half, intercepting a New Mexico State pass and returning it for a touchdown:

Importantly, this gives Mizzou 5 wins on the season with 1 game left to play. Next week, the Tigers host Arkansas in the Battle Line Rivalry game on Friday on CBS. Will Eli Drinkwitz and company pull off a big win and qualify for a bowl game?

Tune in to CBS on Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time to find out!
