Report: 4-star Oregon 2020 signee charged with attempted murder; Mario Cristobal issues statement

A key Oregon signee from the Ducks’ 2020 class is facing some very serious charges after an arrest this week.
Per 247Sports, 4-star CB Luke Hill was arrested and now faces multiple charges, including 1 count of attempted first-degree murder.
The report detailed the 8 charges Hill is now facing after the arrest:
The eight charges that are listed against Hill are as follows: attempted loaded handgun on person, handgun on person, possession of a firearm by a minor, use of an assault weapon, use of a firearm, attempted first degree murder, reckless endangerment and first degree assault, according to arrest records. Hill is listed to appear for a preliminary hearing on June 19, 2020, at 8:45 a.m. ET in Prince George County in Maryland.
DuckTerritory.com obtained a statement from Oregon coach Mario Cristobal, who said Hill will not be a part of the Ducks program:
“He was informed earlier this spring that he would not be a member of our program,” said Cristobal in the statement.
Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Hill was the No. 15 cornerback in the 2020 class and the No. 7 overall recruit from the state of Maryland.
