After getting dismissed from Texas A&M, it appears Kirk Merritt will try to get his college career back on track at Last Chance U.

Taylor Hamm of 247Sports reports that Merritt is transferring to East Mississippi Community College, subject of the Netflix series “Last Chance U” and former home of Chad Kelly, Bo Wallace and John Franklin III.

Though Merritt was a 4-star recruit in the class of 2015, he has only played one season of college football. He played the 2015 season at Oregon before transferring to Texas A&M. Merritt sat out last season due to NCAA transfer rules, but was enrolled as a student at TAMU.

Merritt allegedly exposed himself to two female tutors at the football complex in a span of less than 24 hours last fall. Merritt’s attorney infamously blamed the incident on “a bad case of jock itch” in a statement on April 7. In an April 13 article on the situation, Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin was strongly criticized by one of the victim’s father for a lack of action. Merritt was officially dismissed from the team on April 24.

Edit: An earlier version of the article stated Merritt was dismissed April 26. That was the day it was reported that he had been dismissed earlier that week.
