A former Alabama offensive line suffered some tough news Wednesday.

Current Tennessee Titans offensive guard Chance Warmack will be sidelined for the remainder of the season after suffering a tendon tear in his hand in pre-game warmups last weekend. Though he endured the physical ailment, Warmack played the entire game vs. the Lions in Detroit.

Warmack had the option of playing with a club on his hand, but opted for surgery instead.

“We had a long discussion with him, all of his options, and he chose to have the surgery,โ€™โ€™ head coach Mike Mularkey told the official site of the Tennessee Titans. โ€œSo weโ€™ll place Chance on IR with the injury. He can return, but itโ€™s an injury that he is going to end up having to wear a club anyhow, even when that time comes up, and thatโ€™s a tough position to play with a club.โ€

It’s been an up-and-down career for the fourth-year pro. He’s yet to truly cement himself as the top guard he was during his time in Tuscaloosa.
