Turman was made somewhat famous for Kirby Smart’s conditions on his transfer releaseย back in March. Smart wouldn’t allow Turman to transfer to Miami and follow Mark Richt.
โI guess thatโs just how he does that, and I understand that,โ Turman said of Smart this past March. โHe has to put his foot down coming to a new school because he doesnโt want everyone trying to get a release. So weโre just not used to it like the kids that didnโt get recruited by him. Because we always were told if we donโt feel at home at the University of Georgia we could leave. And I thought it was still like that. Then Coach Kirby โฆ. I understand, and Iโm glad that I guess I got my release.โ
Turman is a former four-star recruit from Orlando, Florida, that never could get traction at the loaded running back position with the Bulldogs. He returns to his home state Florida.
