Former Alabama and current San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster responded to questions from the San Francisco media on Wednesday.

Foster spoke about a scary situation he faced after the 49ers’ game against the Washington Redskins on Sunday when he escaped an attempted armed robbery.

“It was a scary moment for my family, and for the organization,” Foster said. “I’m truly sorry to whom I concerned in the organization itself, and the fans, that I concerned them … on my behalf. You live and you learn.”

Here is a video with Foster’s full comments (posted on Twitter by Bay Area News Group reporter Cam Inman):

Foster has been battling an ankle injury, but he’s feeling better.

“I want to get out there as bad as y’all want me to,” he told reporters. “I’ve just got to listen to the doctor and abide by their rules. The quicker I listen to them, the quicker I’ll be out there. We’ll see … I feel great, but it’s up to the doctor.”

Hopefully Foster will be able to get back on the field soon.
