Roman Harper names top 10 players in the SEC entering 2026 season

SEC football is back. After the SEC was absent from Week 0, the conference’s Week 1 action kicks off Thursday night as Mizzou takes the field against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Ahead of the first conference game, SEC Network analyst Roman Harper shared his top 10 players in the conference entering the season. Texas leads the way 3 selections, all in the top 5. Ole Miss and Alabama also have multiple representatives. South Carolina, Oklahoma and LSU have 1 player each in Harper’s top 10.

Conference-wide rankings rarely sit well with all SEC fanbases. Harper is sure to hear from Mizzou fans about the omission of Ahmad Hardy, last year’s SEC leading rusher. He also notably does not have any players from back-to-back SEC champion Georgia.
