Ryan Day called out on social media as Ohio State struggles vs. Penn State
By Adam Spencer

Ryan Day and the Ohio State Buckeyes entered Saturday afternoon’s game at Penn State with many considering them the No. 1 team in the country.
But, as the Buckeyes struggle against the Nittany Lions, Day’s play-calling abilities are coming into question.
As you can see below, it has been a rough few hours for Day on social media, with fans and media members taking to Twitter to call out the Ohio State head coach:
Some, um, interesting play-calls by Ryan Day today.

Ryan Day has lost his damn mind with these constant stupid play calls.

Ryan Day what is going on with the play calling

I don’t want to burst Ryan Day’s bubble (screens), but maybe stop it.

The only explanation I have for the playcalling by Ryan Day today is that he saw Michigan run for 400 yards on this PSU defense and he thought his team could do the same.
They cannot.

Panic time! #OhioState is down 14-10 in the second quarter. Ryan Day is to blame! #MeltdownAlert pic.twitter.com/XHTMZ1pYty

Probably Ryan Day’s worst half at Ohio State. And that includes getting run off the field by Michigan last year.

Ryan Day just called back to back WR screens pic.twitter.com/NSSBbPFKwk

Ryan Day is just Dan Mullen with a generational WR coach.

Jim Knowles gonna give Ryan Day a swirlie if the offense doesn't do anything with this

It seems safe to say Ohio State fans would like to see the bubble screen play ripped out of Day’s playbook.
We’ll see if Day can inject some life into the Ohio State offense in the second half. If not, the frustration from Buckeye fans everywhere will likely get louder.
