Ryan Williams sets lofty goals for individual, team success in 2025
Ryan Williams is entering his sophomore season with plenty of confidence.
The 18-year-old recently did an interview with OvertimeSzn on TikTok. Williams set some lofty expectations for both himself and the Alabama football program.
The interviewer asked Williams to “finish this sentence: Ryan Williams is … “
“Your newest Heisman Trophy winner and National Champion,” Williams said.
While Williams is certainly in the preseason mix to contend for the Heisman, he’s not not currently one of the favorites in Vegas. Per the latest Heisman Trophy betting odds, Williams is just +3000 to win the award at most sports betting apps.
Williams was also asked to predict how many yards and touchdowns he would record during his sophomore campaign in 2025.
“I’m gonna be honest, as many as we need,” Williams said. “I ain’t gonna lie. If that means I gotta score 40 touchdowns, then guess what I’m gonna do. I’m gonna score 40. So however many the team needs, that’s how many I’m gonna get.”
Here’s the brief TikTok where Williams discusses his upcoming campaign:
Last season as a freshman, Williams caught 48 passes for 865 yards and 8 touchdowns. He also scored 2 more touchdowns on the ground as well. Williams and Alabama will begin the 2025 season against Florida State on Aug. 30.
