The Arkansas Razorbacks are off to a solid start to the 2022 season, recording a 31-24 win over No. 23-ranked Cincinnati to open the season at 1-0.
Next up, the No. 19-ranked Hogs remain at home to face South Carolina in an 11 a.m. kickoff. It’s not uncommon for less fans to show up to early games, but Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman is urging fans to show up and show out for what is sure to be an exciting contest as the team opens conference play.
“We need a loud crowd at 11 AM,” Pittman said. “I know it’s early but Georgia was early last year and they were as loud as I’ve heard it. They definitely got to us. We need that against South Carolina.”

There are a lot of factors on the field that go into playing a successful football game and coming out with a win, but the environment and crowd noise can play just as much as — if not more of — a role in how a game shakes out.
Arkansas is the favorite in this matchup going up against an unranked team as a ranked program itself, but it’s any given Saturday in college football and there have already been plenty of upsets abound through just Week 1.
