SEC bowl projections: ESPN’s 2025 postseason predictions include 14 SEC squads

The 2025 college football season is officially a week away, with Week 0 kicking off on Saturday, August 23. Before we know it, our Saturdays will be filled with incredible games, College Football Playoff debates and more.

This week, ESPN’s bowl experts — Kyle Bonagura and Mark Schlabach — released their preseason projections for what bowl season will look like.

As you can see below, the duo each had 4 SEC football teams making the 12-team Playoff — Alabama, LSU, Georgia and Texas.
