Therefore, fans have a pretty good idea about what sort of bowl games their favorite teams will be going to, if they qualify for a bowl at all.
Experts from ESPN, CBS and Sports Illustrated have updated their bowl projections, picking the exact games they think teams will go to this postseason.
This week, a struggling Arkansas team finds itself out of the projections, while the experts have no idea what to make of the No. 4 Georgia Bulldogs, who are projected to go to four different bowls against four different opponents.
