SEC football returns in earnest on Saturday, Sept. 2, with a full Week 1 schedule! Yes, Vanderbilt beat Hawaii in Week 0 and Florida and Mizzou played on Thursday, but 10 of the remaining 11 SEC squads are in action on Saturday.
Then, on Sunday, LSU closes things out with a night game against Florida State. But that’s Sunday.
For now, let’s focus on the Saturday schedule. Here’s a look at every SEC game on the Week 1 docket for Saturday, along with kickoff times and TV listings:
- No. 12 Tennessee vs. Virginia (in Nashville) — 12 p.m. ET on ABC
- Ball State at Kentucky — 12 p.m. ET on SEC Network
- Western Carolina at Arkansas — 1 p.m. ET on ESPN+/SEC Network+
- Mercer at No. 22 Ole Miss — 2 p.m. ET on ESPN+/SEC Network+
- UMass at Auburn — 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN
- SE Louisiana at Mississippi State — 4 p.m. ET on SEC Network
- UT Martin at No. 1 Georgia — 6 p.m. ET on ESPN+/SEC Network+
- New Mexico at No. 23 Texas A&M — 7 p.m. ET on ESPN
- Alabama A&M at Vanderbilt — 7 p.m. on ESPN+/SEC Network+
- MTSU at No. 4 Alabama — 7:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network
- No. 21 North Carolina vs. South Carolina (in Charlotte) — 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC
There will likely be a few blowouts on this Week 1 slate, but there could be some good matchups, too. The North Carolina-South Carolina game could be one of the best matchups of the weekend.
College football is back, y’all! Enjoy the weekend of games!
