SEC lands 21 players, coaches on ballot for 2026 College Football Hall of Fame

The 2026 College Football Hall of Fame ballot has been revealed and the SEC is well-represented. Of the 88 players and coached under consideration for induction into the Hall, 21 have ties to the SEC.
Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Oklahoma lead the way among SEC programs and have 3 nominees each. Tennessee and Georgia have 2 nominees, while Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas A&M, LSU, Texas and South Carolina each have 1 nominee. Dennis Franchione and Tommy Tuberville each have 2 SEC ties.
Josh Heupel, Tennessee’s current head coach, is being nominated for his time as a player at Oklahoma.
