It’s officially rivalry week in college football, and that means that one of the greatest rivalries in all of sports is set to be renewed once again in the Iron Bowl between Auburn and Alabama.
The Tigers will be looking to play spoiler against their hated in-state rivals at home in Jordan-Hare Stadium, and the quarterback position is likely to be the deciding factor for both sides.

SEC Network analyst Chris Doering broke down the high-stakes matchup on SEC Football Final Saturday night, and he was most intrigued by who Auburn will end up rolling with under center between freshman phenom Deuce Knight and senior transfer Ashton Daniels.
“I’m curious to see what happens at the quarterback position,” Doering said. “Ashton Daniels sits out so he can play next week and still have the ability to redshirt if he wants to. I mean, is this a case where he Wally Pipped himself? You got Deuce Knight going out there and running all over, and one thing we know about Alabama’s defense is that they have struggled the past couple of years against mobile quarterbacks.”
Knight made his first start this past Saturday against Mercer and was essentially perfect both on the ground and through the air, racking up 401 total yards and 6 total TDs. If he can bring that same edge against the Tide, then interim head coach DJ Durkin may have no choice but to roll with the electric true freshman in the Iron Bowl.
