SEC Network set gets heated during Florida-Vanderbilt halftime show

SEC Network’s halftime show went off the rails during the Florida-Vanderbilt game on Saturday afternoon.

A discussion about suits led to a joke from host Peter Burns about a text from Benjamin Watson’s wife.

Well, it’s pretty clear Watson didn’t take too kindly to the joke. Here’s the initial segment, which was right before a commercial break:

But it was after the break where things got really weird. As you can see below, Chris Doering and Takeo Spikes were the only ones still on set, trying to keep things going for the show. When Watson eventually returned to the desk, it was clear he was very upset:

We’ll see what happens moving forward on this college football Saturday, but this was a very strange moment of live television.
