SEC in the pros: Eli Manning, Beckham lead Giants to big road win

The SEC has produced more current NFL players than any other conference in America, and many of the Southeast’s former stars have continued to shine at football’s highest level.
Here are the best performances by SEC alums throughout the NFL in Week 16 action last weekend:
OFFENSE
- Eli Manning: The former Ole Miss quarterback had another outstanding performance. He helped lead the Giants to a 37-27 road victory over the St. Louis Rams. Manning threw for 391 yards and three touchdowns.
- Ryan Tannehill: The Miami quarterback had the week’s top quarterback performance with 396 passing yards and four touchdowns, becoming the first Dolphins QB to throw four TD passes in a game since Dan Marino.
- Randall Cobb: Green Bay’s offense was held surprisingly to just 20 points by the Bucs, but receiver Randall Cobb was exceptional. He didn’t reach the end zone, but still racked up 11 receptions for 131 yards.
- Reuben Randle: Randle has had a quiet season, but he exploded in Week 16. The former LSU receiver recorded a season-high 132 receiving yards and one touchdown.
- Odell Beckham: Beckham is making a strong case for Rookie of the Year honors. He had 148 receiving yards and two touchdowns, giving him his third straight game of at least 130 receiving yards and one touchdown.
DEFENSE
- Karlos Dansby: It was a slow day for former SEC defensive stars, but linebacker Karlos Dansby stood out in Cleveland’s 17-13 loss at Carolina. He totaled 12 tackles against the Panthers.
