It may be hard to believe, but the 2026 college football regular season has officially entered its final stretch, with teams across the country jockeying for position as the calendar gets ready to flip from October to November.
There have been plenty of shocking upsets and close finishes over the past couple of months, and just about every week has featured multiple highly anticipated matchups between some of the top teams in the sport. All of that has helped draw more attention to the sport as a whole, but one program has attracted more viewers than any other.
That would be the Alabama Crimson Tide, who took to their official X account Friday morning to claim that they have been the “most-watched team” in college football through the first eight weeks of the season.

Per the post, the Tide have drawn in 52.3 million viewers across their first 8 contests in 2026, a slate which has featured prime time showdowns against numerous top SEC programs.
Given the nature of these matchups, it’s easy to see that fans have tuned in to see Alabama play more then any other team, and that total figure is only going to go up in the coming weeks with games against LSU and Auburn still on deck.
The Crimson Tide may not be as dominant as they have been for much of the past 15 years, but this achievement proves they are still one of the biggest brands in all of college football and that fans are still tuning in by the millions to see them play every Saturday.
